Hi All

Just working on a template for a site I am doing. Have uploaded it to here http://www.fluiduk.co.uk/psp/templates.php

Any thoughts so far?

The main part of the site needs a border

And when you hover over links it goes orange, maybe black would be better.
Other people may not agree

Edit: 'Home Page' could be changed to 'Index'

Went for orange because its the companies corporate colour, but I know what you mean. I might use a darker shade of Orange so its easier on the eye.

I'd cut out the superfluous text and go for a minimalist approach:

"Home About Waste Services..."

Also the "Website by Aaron Cornish" splits into two lines with your surname, I'd widen that box so it fits on one line

Hmm thought I had fixed that. Must be a text size issue, will look at that tommorrow, bed time now lol

I dont really know how PHP works (im a complete newb to it, so this might sound dumb) .......what you have is a basic HTML page (nothing there looks like it would be dynamic content), with no need for dynamic content or anything that would need php to run, wouldnt it be more efficent if it were just a HTML file, so that the webserver would process it as one and not have to call the php processor?

I'll bet he's split the header and footer to separate files so he doesn't have to repeat them between pages - just a little PHP include() will do all the magic

Thats exactly what Ive done lol. Means I dont have to change the menu or footer on every page should I want to add/edit something.

Looks very nice mate, though I agree with whats been said above about the menu.

Just a thought but couldn't you code it so that instead of shading out the link your hovering over, it shades out all but, so to single out the link as it were?
