Opinions please :)

Will do mate, thanks so much :D

Just to clarify though, I'm looking to cover the CPU with thermal paste, and not just put a line down the centre?

That's what I did, and I have my 6600 running at about 38 idle, 47 load. If you find the tuniq noisy, replace the fan with a better one (I did).

1 word of advice with the tuniq. Ignore the instructions for the most part. They're the most confusing things known to man!

All done and installed and up and running. Had a bit of a 'mare with the Tuniq, and I see exactly what you mean about the thermal paste - bit gloopy. But, I think I got there in the end and so far so good, I'm stable at 2.8GHz with temps at full load touching 60 degrees.

Just something that I'd like your opinions on please?

Firstly, the temperatures for the two cores are different in both TAT and CoreTemp. CPU1 is usually about 2 degrees cooler than CPU0 after a long period of ORTHOS - for some reason?

Have I botched up the heatsink installation?

Is that with the fan on full wack, or so you can hear yourself think? :D

My CPU core temps usually differ slightly, I wouldn't worry (life's too short).

Hello mate, you're a godsend so you are :D

That's with the fan on about 50% - nice and quiet but still audible working away...

No worries - swap the fan for a Nexus (google them, orange ones are good) when you have a free evening. Really worth it...

I'll look into that right now - cheers :D

My case, even though it's a P180, has bad airflow really and I've noticed that, since the Tuniq has gone in it, the rear exhaust fan is hardly pushing out any air at all which is odd.

Do those temps look ok to you? :)

That looks okay if the fans are on low. What you might find works better (I have a P180) is putting the back exhaust fan to medium and turn down the tuniq. I found it was quieter & cooler that way. Long term, put nexus fans in that case.

I'll give that a go now, cheers. I'll purchase a couple of those orange fans tomorrow too, should do the trick nicely.

Thanks so much for your advice and help :D
