hey guys tell me what you think:

1 X Intel Core i7 920 D0 Stepping (SLBEJ) 2.66Ghz overclocked up to 4.00GHz (for an extra £15.00)
1 X Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard
1 X Corsair XMS3 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 (1600MHz) Tri-Channel (TR3X6G1600C8)
1 X Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler (Socket LGA1366)
1 X Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (3.5g)

-Total @ £628.15 (inc. delivery and 4GHz option)

Id go for MX3 thermal compound instead (non conductive and better performace).
And change the CPU cooler to either a Megahahelems, TRUE or Alpenfohn nordwand.

Exactly what I have mate. Expect for the cooler and thermal compound.

Get the Megahalems and two powerful Noctua fans, and the MX3, and all will be rosy. Excellent components. You will love them.

how much did u get your package for mate? finding it difficult to find an i7 processor at 4GHz at an affordable price??

Clock it yourself. You should have no issues whatsoever if you do your research - and if you do have issues then this forum is the right place to be ;)

UD5/920 D0/6gb @ 1600mhz is probably the most common X58 platform on here. This is a good sign, it works well. I'm using corsair ram with it, though on water cooling.

MX2 or MX3 instead of AS5, otherwise fine. MX3 cools better but is more difficult to apply.

had a go myself with the mx-3 and that is absolutly bang on about it being difficult to apply, i tried 4 times and then gave up and applied As5:D
if its your first time i would say stick to the As5

I was like this with the mx-3 lol

Didn't they have this on offer for £550 a few weeks back ?

I'm not sure, if they did, my bad luck =( but i looked for the items separately and it works out cheaper (including if i OC the processor @ 4GHz myself as mentioned by some guys earlier) the whole package works out £100 cheaper than this!
