Opinions sought - Best train management game?

Ok, so heres the sitrep. The missus wants a train management game, now..being as its the missus, she wants something which aesthetically looks reasonably decent, which automatically knocks out the older games.

From my initial looks at titles around currently, it seems like the main ones would be Railway Empire or perhaps Transport Fever 2 (I know it has other transport too but it does at least have train management as well).

Anyone played these two? Thoughts on them? Any better alternatives that I should look at for her?
 
from what I've seen on Transport Fever 2, seems good and it is pretty.
More than just trains tho.

Yeah, she is ok with it having more than trains, just as long as it has trains :)

She's been in a sort of sim/management mood lately and is looking for a train title to go alongside Planet Zoo which she's just bought

Shes female, driving anything is a potential hazard :D

Shes more interested in a management game rather than one where you drive anyway , luckily !
