i will probably upgrade to 8GB ram later on, and i will probably overclock the CPU/GPU

anything that isnt worth the price that i should change or any objections?

Personally I don't find any difference between RAM makes and models. It might be worth going with something that doesn't have the fancy case to save yourself a few quid.

It's just like clothes if you ask me. You pay for the name :) . Also if you plan on over clocking I personally would recommend a Black Edition chip if your going the AMD route. The black edition of that Chip is 12£ more but currently out of stock here. Will just make oC easier and more stable from what I have seen first hand as your Mobo supports all AM3 chips currently out. Just my personall opinion

already got a couple of coolers, not extreme overclocking but i will overclock
its a gigabyte server standard case, with 3 x 80mm fans and a few vents, airflow is decent. got given it a while ago
will look into black edition, maybe the 3.4GHz x4

Well I thought that seeing as I can get 3.8GHz out of my Athlon II X2, a high end Phenom would be able to go a lot further.

Phenom II X4 840 Review

In other words, what we have here is Athlon II X4 "650" renamed to Phenom II X4 800 series. In terms of specifications, it is identical to every other Athlon II X4 SKU, and the one thing that differed Athlon II from Phenom II series, L3 cache is no more.

Go with the Phenom II X4 955BE and get your deserved L3 cache:D
