How do you tell your loved one that you've accidentally seen an order from a dvd/games shops which is obviously for my Christmas. Also how do you then say you hate the choices?

Or do I just suck it up?

Do NOT tell them you don't like it...unless you want to die.

Enough said.

Although in fairness you should always make it known what you do and don't like...my missus just gives me vouchers if she wants to get me something film/tv/music/games related...that way I don't have to be irritated at the choice.

How do you know it's definitely for you, and what is it?

Just tell her that you're planning a night in and have ordered some new games and films. Just blag it and make out that 90% of them are the same as the ones that she's ordered.

Precisely why I tell people what I want, and ask others what they want.

I hate christmas for the commercialised mumbo-jumbo. Either get me something I need or dont bother. I'd rather have nothing than something I dont need, or even worse some tacky novelty rubbish.

Christmas the older I get the more I see its just one complete farce.

How aboput one christmas just telling her not to buy you anything, just herself and the kids (I assume they are yours?) you never know you might get rewarded with something else ;)

i play simcity4 all the time and so shes got the new one. I hate the new one when i tried it and when i said it sucks her face dropped so at that point me thinks is that for xmas has she got it for me and then i saw what she ordered

so its that plus long way down and 3 x Mis imp films as i watched the latest one on sky twice

oh well :(

I tell my girl what I want, normally its a list.

Its also normally my yearly upgrade, so components that she doesn't really understand.

I tend to order, with her card! :p

Plus stocking fillers obviously!

:)

You don't hate her choices you love them. You just havn't realised it yet.

After christmas of course you'll be entitled to change your mind and send them back, but until then, you love them more than any other games in the world.

Along the same lines so, when somebody gets you a present and says they have the receipt if you want to change it, do they mean it? is it rude to change it?

I personally wouldn't be offended if someone changed the present I got them as I'd rather them have something they actually want. It's a tricky situation when it comes to women/loved ones though and I guess it depends on the type of person who gave you the present.

Personally I'd rather be told the choices I'd made weren't the ones wanted as there's no point in a wasted gift. It's better to get something you'll actually want and watch.
