Opt 144 OC WOW! However.....

I would remove the competitor's name mate ;)

I'd get the Tagan U22 580w psu from OcUK @ £73.97. Great psu for money. Good for SLI / CF and single gpu mode. Good strong rails. My recommendation.

I have the tagan in my system but when i use programms like sisandra burn tests my comp just shuts down like there no power

What psu you got?

That could be anything from cpu too far overclocked, memory overclocked, gpu's overclocked, heatsink not seated right, so when an intense app is used the cpu over heats and shuts off.

Make a new thread and you would get the support about your problem.

I've got my Opteron 144 running stable at 3.006Mhz! (16Hrs Prime95, plus stable through 3DMark, CrystalMark etc)

However, I have recently install a 7800GT which I'm 99% sure is the reason for some random crashing. The PC will freeze under varying conditions; Idle through to full load in a game
Hi LRTom,

can you post some screenshots of your Opteron 144 running stably at 3.0GHz please, including some visual information of voltages and temps.

In the meantime you could try lowering the MHz on your overclock *or* increasing the vCore.

A system *freeze* usually means you have a failed overclock, but there are other causes for this as well.

If your not sure about posting a screenshot, just press Printscreen and paste it into MS-Paint, save as .jpg and post it here. Once its posted you can copy the url into your posts pretty easy. . .thanks :)

dont matter cuz it wired note overclocked my cpu idles at 47

It does matter. Shutting down could be anything. Overclocking has a lot of factors to consider about. Not just the PSU. It could be anything...

It only seem to shut dont running speed fan sisandra atm

Still doesnt show anything but your overclock. We want some shots of running prime etc. That doesnt show that it is stable.

after a sudden shut down again i am now priming 2.9 with 1.52 on the vCore, if this lasts out 12+ hours on blend ill probably push it some more

Anything over 320HTT and my mobo (DFI ultra D) starts to fall over. My guess is you guys are pushing the limit of your mobo's.

currently at 323 ( cpu-z says 324????) i got an asus A8N SLI and its currently blending at around an hour and a half i think with out any probs, vcore at 1.52 in bios and at 44 degrees
