Opteron 1210 vs Xenon 3065

Hi,

I'm in process of purchasing a machine and i've got two processor options but i'm unsure which would be fastest for vmWare use. Could anyone please shed some light on which would be the better processor?

AMD Opteron 1210 1.8 DC + DDR2 667Mhz 2GB
Intel Xenon 3065 2.33 DC + DDR2 800Mhz 2GB

I would have thought the Intel would have been the quickest out of those two.

Depends on how many sockets. 1 and 2 the intel should be faster, 3-4 and above AMD is because of its superior memory management + hypertransport between CPU's

Though on a quick looking around on some etailers, they aren't in the same price bracket...
