Hi all,

Just bought myself an Opty 146 from a well known auction site and was wondering what the stepping is like.

Stepping is CACJE 0545.

Any help on this appreciated peeps

whats the last part of the stepping?

Hope so too.

The person I bought it off said on [insert well known auction site] that it was prime stable @ 3.0Ghz and had a picture as proof(allthough this cant be trusted :D)

it could be prime stable easily at that speed. question is: did he test for that speed using phase change and 1.8v? or is it an overclock on air?

OK actual stepping is CACJE 0546BPMW and according to the pictures he had on said auction site that was at 1.55v, however he did say that was with water cooling(said 2.8Ghz was stable on air) so hopefully it should be a good one :D:D:D

Gimme the good/bad news people.

Got a 146 CACJE 0546 BPMW yesterday, not the best of clockers but a good enough replacement for my 2.7GHz Venice.
2850MHz @ 1.595v , won't do 3GHz

2.8 isnt slow though

Unlucky, I think you have a serious problem with that chip! ;) Should be running stock at 2000mhz  What a difference a 'G' makes :D

you cheeky monkey.#
thanks for pointing out the mistake in my typing,at such a early hour.
with a hangover(honestly).
i paid £112 for it nearly a year ago.
it will go 2.9GHZ but knocked it back because of battlefield 2.

I paid £110 for the chip off that well known auction site.

Do you think I over paid?

And the stepping is CACJE 0546BPMW.
