I'm running an AMD Opteron 165 overclocked to 2712Mhz currently, it seems stable, but a bit hot.
It's running at 62-64 degrees underload when running prime95 and ATI tool together, one on each core. I have a Zalman 7700 HSF with arctic silver 5.
It runs at 34-36 degrees whilst idle in windows. I am able to play F.E.A.R. without any crashes or freezes.
Am i pushing the chip too hard?
Will running it this hot shorten the life?
The RAM is running at 193.7Mhz, should i increase the speed of the HTT/FSB to bring it up to nearer 200Mhz or will this cause the chip to get too hot?
My full PC spec is:-
