Opteron 165 Steppings

My 165 just arrived and I couldn't find any information on the stepping through www.overclockers.com or google, and was wondering if anyone had any info on it?

The stepping is:

CCWBE 0602 BPMW

interesting, not seen anybody else with an 06 duel core opty.

Ive just got a CCBWE 0602BPMW this morning. Not from overclockers tho. Currently doing 2.5GHz on default volts using the retail heatsink. Prime stable so far.

The company in question sent me the wrong mobo tho. SLI DR instead of a SLI DR EXPERT so i am abit annoyed at that. This thing only seems to be able to hit a HTT of 275 no matter what i do.

Edit.. Got over 300HTT now was my ram timings and speed.

sorry to revive this post. i have the same stepping from OCuk. What does this mean

The stepping tells you when the cpu was made, aswell as other things. For example the 06 means the year. ie 2006 and the 02 means the week of that year. People look for certain steppings as some overclock better than others.

Ive got mine currently doing 2.8 GHz on water. Doesnt seem too bad.

What are the new steppings like for overclocking??..Ordered a 165 yesterday would love to know which steppings i have got for research but the store i got mine from only opens monday to friday 9-5pm so will have to wait until monday..

so the 2006 cpu's have finnaly hit the uk....

expect very high clocks on stock volts.....

I have just got hold of a 165 CCBWE 0607 upgw and have a CCB1E 0606 vpmw on the way also. Will post results later

I have also got a CCBWE 0607 UPGW on the way what kind of speeds are you getting with your chips??..

I couldn't get any higher than 2.7ghz on air with on a CCBWE 0607 upgw was gonna try my watercooling but already have a 165 CCB1E 0550 vpmw that will do 2.84 ghz.

Opty165 CCBWE 0551 UPMW got it up to 3ghz just for a screenie then put back to 24/7 settings as on air.

Just got mine delivered this afternoon,impressive didn,t think there would be a lot of performance increase but there is..Going to overclock soon though to see how far i can take this chip..

What settings are you using for this? Got almost exactly the same rig here.
Just waiting for 2Gb of some lurvley OCZ to arrive
