i only get 1 graph in windows task manager
i can't check between the cores in cpuid

how can i tell that both cores are actually working?
are there amy amd updates i need to install moving from an opty 146 to a 170?

Go to device manager and under the "Computer" it should say something like "Multiprocessor PC" as opposed to "Uniprocessor PC". To change it select re-install driver option and manually select the correct one.

Also there are dual core drivers and optimisor available on AMD site, not sure if they also apply to opterons though as they are designed for X2s.
