If so whats the stepping and what are your clocks like?

Guys, I ordere the CPU yesterday and its come this morning and i'm rather exctied...

Its a 2006 proc.

And am I right in thinking that the 2006 silicone is really good?!

I believe 2006 silicon is really good, I got a 2006 opty 144 and it does 2.8 @ 1.41v

Lets hope it does well.

I've put it in my system over lunch but haven't get any thing else wired up yet. I also got a DFi expert at the same time and took out my Asus, but then relised that putting the Asus back in this evening and i'll be testing the chip and seeing I should send it back...

I was unsure, so when I called OcUK yesterday and said "If I open and use the contense, can I still send it back in the 7 days and get a full refund". answer from the chap, Yes.

So, I hope he is right or I could end up slightly annoyed.

Anyways, back to the clocking.

RMA time!!

Bit of a dissapointment tbh. But there we go.

Hardly any!

Tried loads of different combos and couldn't even get into windows at 2.6ghz!

So back it goes.

Dont you get charged a restocking fee?

I think its a bit "erm" to return something because it didnt meet your liking whilst going outside of its specification.

The stock performance difference between 2.0 ghz (170) to 2.2ghz (175) was not good enough to warrent the £400 upgrade. As for the RMA, haven't heard back yet (only E-mails 3 hours ago).
