Opteron information needed please

Are the opteron 144 on sale on this site (CAB2E 0548EPAW) any good for overclocking.

I have at the moment a 3200+ on a DFI lanparty NF4 sli-dr with an overclock of 2.7ghz (270*10 (144 divider) 1.45v) Artic cooler freezer 64 pro.

Will one clock that high if so what is the max theoretical overclock.

I've just got a 144 and its doing 2.8Ghz so far with no trouble, not attempted to go higher yet.

9 x 311HTT, 1.475V (stock 1.4V)

the 144's are good clockers, but only single core

mines at 3.15ghz 24/7

If you've already got 2.7ghz on your venice then theres not much point buying a single core opty, it may not even clock as high. Dual core is the way forward

Agreed, just keep your 3200+ for a bit longer
