which one? Im a gamer and i like cheap bang for buck stuff...:D

I like ocing as well but i don't do as much as i like to plus im a noob.

Im so close to choosing a new build. Oh, and also i want it to last me as long as possible.

Does X2 have much advantage over Opterons?

i think if you want it to last as long as poss then the 3800x2 OCed would be your best bang for buck unless your planning getting a 170 opty or sumat?
 
whats the opty up 146 like? ill look at the 170

edit: woah thats way too expensive

should i wait for AM2?
 
The opty 146 is a good single core but I would go for a 3700+ instead, this is a good clocker, faster at stock and cheaper than the opty.

If you can afford it i'd go dual core and get a x2 3800+. This is a good clocker and will be future proof.
