hey guy's im soon to be putting my pc in my living room connected to my 40" hd lcd and i would like to know if there is a sound card or motherboard that has fibre optic output so i can connect it to my sony amp.

a load of them have optical outputs.
if you are hoping for the cheaper option/less complicated just get a new soundcard. check here on ocuk for a fantastic card that's even supplied with a toslink cable.
