optical connections

Hey Folks, trying to find if anyone has had the same issues as me. I recently set up a new PC with an Asus P45 mobo. I realised that after it had arrived that it only came with coax out, but the cables laid from my old PC to the Amp and TV were optical. I did find that there is an optional extra card you can get that will plug into the mobo that gives optical out, and after some hunting managed to get one off e-bay in the US.

I've installed the card but neither the Realtek software or Windows vista seem to recognise it's there....anyone know a way around this?

Cheers

Sorry to say this but you should buy coax to optical adapter. For around 7£.

Keep in mind that optical to coax is not the same as coax to optical.
