Optical Drive - Gone Wrong? (FIXED)

Hiya

I got my NEC 4570 Optical Drive through the post this morning, once again, extremely fast. After replacnig an old DVD Rom with this new drive, the computer hangs on the device screen, the one before the Windows XP loading screen. The computer boots up fine when I take the drive out. I've tried removing the floppydrive, as its on the same cable (You heard, a floppy

). Anyone have any suggestions?

Have you got the ribbons and power connected properly?

Have you made sure it's not set for master the same as the hdd?
