optical or analogue

i have logitech z5500 speakers and a Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Sound Card

i use analogue ie, connect black, yellow and green cables up. The optical seems to crash power dvd when i play dvds. Should i use optical for gaming only? thanks

with that card you should be using analogue for everything bar when you need DDLive.
