Optical.
As far as I’m aware, lossless Bluetooth either hasn’t yet arrived and is in its infancy

Optical doesn't support lossless formats either apart from stereo.

Good point. Stupid of me to think of it only from a music perspective.

That must be some serious levels of compression for 5.1 via Bluetooth

I would have thought any soundbar made in the last 10 years would have at least 1 HDMI input.

stereo PCM is lossless though
