Why do people use a $ instead of S when referring to Microsoft? Is it because you need to spend money to buy operating systems and other pieces of software they developed?
And using the $, very cleverly and subtly puts it across that you disagree with their business model and profit making tactics and sit with the camp that always grumbles about how much money Mr Gates has and that all the software the company has developed is useless and is rubbish?
Or is there something more worthwhile that causes you to deliberately put a $ instead of an S?

For some reason people find it funny to write:
M$
Micro$oft
Microshaft
You can almost hear the giggling as people type this in.
I don't know if it was ever original or funny to use any of those - I guess the very first person to do so was at least being original.
Personally I find that they show just a general level of maturity where I'd rather not get into a discussion with somebody.
Mainly because they are probably the same people who will make a post and then "put their fingers in their ears" with regards listening to responses because what they have said is gospel and no matter what you have to say it doesn't matter.
