Hello

I've poured a few hours into research but I'm prone to fits of incompetence. Please can I have your advice on which TFT best suits my requirements?
Please also challenge any nonsensical requirements.

REQS
-------
22"

IPS panel

lower pixel count of 1600x900ish preferred over the larger 1920x1080ish (adjust for aspect ratio accordingly). Running an old X2 4800 / twin 7800GTXs rig for a little while longer. Fat upgrade to follow...

Preferred native aspect ratio is 16:9 over 16:10

Height adjustment OR lots of ground clearance (I like the screen to have some altitude, must be stable though;)).

Must not look girly. MAN-looks only. NS2 is comming out soon, dontcha know.

CANDIDATES SO FAR
------------------------

Dell 2209WA

And erm...

(pls help)

You want to avoid 1920x1080?

I think you may be confused. 16:9 is an aspect ratio, not a pixel count.

In terms of 1920 horizontal pixels, 16:10 will be 1920x1200 and 16:9 will be 1920x1080.

hiya,

yeah, aware of difference between asdpect ratio and pixel count.

didnt write my two points seperately for clarity, ill edit OP

see. incompetant. tsk tsk.

I'll get in first and recommend the Dell 2209WA. Had mine about 3 weeks now, deffo the best screen I've owned so far and that includes the two 24" ones I had. I had the opportunity to do a side by side comparison with a 22" samsung over the weekend and it totally dumped on the sammy in all areas.
Also height adjustable, tlit, rotatable screen, and above all, looks manly!:)

Although OCUK do have good prices usually the 2209 is massively overpriced compared to the RRP, if you get my meaning.
