Optimate Adaptor Question

Triumph gave me an Optimate adaptor with my bike which I installed yesterday.

Went to plug it in today to test it out, but my Optimate doesn't have the right connector.

This would convert it to the correct cable: http://www.optimate.co.uk/sae77.htm

That's easy enough to get, but I just wanted to confirm it will actually work and also if I would need to run the Optimate in CAN-bus mode?

Sorted it.

Turns out the adaptor Triumph gave me would need an SAE adaptor to make it work. Found a very similar adaptor that attaches to the battery in my Optimate box with the correct end, so stuck that on and it works perfectly in normal charging mode

Also means I can use the Optimate USB plug thing without another adaptor.
