Optimised apps

I know its a bit late in the game, but every bit helps right.

I was running the 5.4.9 from the Berkley page. I downloaded the relevant client from this page http://calbe.dw70.de/boincw.html and copied it to the Boinc folder, were it overwrote two files.

Then downloaded the app and the app_info.xml from this page http://calbe.dw70.de/setiew.html and stuck the files in the setiathome.berkley.edu folder that is in the projects folder within the Boinc folder. This didnt overwrite anything.

Is this right, or have I missed something ?

The previous versions seem to have vanished on their own.

Any reason for not making the swap mid wu or at least without running the cache down ?

Something I noticed though, Boincview and Boinc manager are giving wildly differant estimates for finish times. :s

Gotta say I'm addicted to the drama over there.

Only really read the odd post every now and then untill all this kicked off, now I cant wait for the next installment. I love it when someones clearly posted in a fit of rage and failed to make much sense.

for the first time ever ive thought of the possibility of stopping. I just wish someone would make a complete and reasoned argument. They are all going off over differant things, were I feel its a culmination of many things over the history of the project that has brought us to this mess.
