***Optimizing/tweaking Vista***

Any tips for making Vista run faster, or making better use of resources would be much appreciated.

Tried TweakVI? There's a few things in it that claim to speed you up. Not tried them myself yet, only downloaded it to see if I could remove the A: icon showing like I could with TweakUI

best thing is to use vlite to create a customised dvd without all the crap in the first place. downside is you have to re-install vista to get the benefits of this.

i created my own install dvd without the crud and it's 840mb - a little more tweaking and you could make it fit on a cd....
