Hi all.

Well I am curious, is there anything to optimize Vista's memory usage and loading times withough doing anything really majour like disabling Aero? I would like to use Vista but 1gb ram aint helping and I dont want to upgrade the ram as its DDR and I plan on saving my money to upgrade to modern hardware and not using this old stuff anymore.

Buy more memory, Vista is a waste of time with less than 2gb IMO.

Or maybe try a memory stick that will run with readyboost.

The prices are pretty cheap at the moment,

Well I was happy with Vista with my old X800XT, I am unhappy with it with my 8800GTS.

I aint buying DDR ram because its obsolete and not worth buying coz it also costs too much for what it is and I have 2 memory sticks but they dont work with ready boost and cat afford even a memory stick, the corsair power supply and 8800 cleared my out.

There must be something to improve performance abit surely? :(

Vista is like a Ferrari, but even a Ferrari can not show its performance in tight paces.
