below is my current setup, all fans are 120mm, also has a side intake fan which has a dust filter. im pretty sure this makes air flow equil.

the rear exhaust fan is a faster fan than the others, but is identical to the side intake fan.

any way of improving airflow?

excuse my crude drawing. rig is in the sig :D

If I have an even number of fans, and depending on case, I tend to have an equal number sucking in and exhausting out. Usually try and get the air in from the front and side and out through the top and rear.

When I have an odd number of fans, I tend to have (again this is depending on case) one more fan exhausting then sucking. Reason for this is because if a fan is exhausting, it cant exhuast nothing, so its still sucking air through from somewhere.

That is how I personally look at situations like this.

My current thinking from experience is just to get as much air INTO the case as reasonably possible, from whatever direction. One or two dedicated exhaust fans + the PSU can easily expel any warm air so saturate the case with cool air and you are set for the lowest temps imo

does that pic show the actual orientation of the CPU heatsink as it is?
I think it would be interesting to see what flipping the rear exhaust fan to intake does...you could easily do a before and after comparison, the front intakes will be limited due to the dust filters, blasting cool air onto the CPU then exhausting up top may be good for you

IMO you want more air going in, than out. This will create positive pressure inside the case, stopping dust being "sucked" into any small gaps and spaces.
