Options for new RAM.

Looking to buy mobo & cpu when the new AM2 socket is released in June.

But in the mean time I have to be fly and get all the other bits of the rig so
that the wife don't notice. :eek:

Anyways.....

Looking for RAM I could buy now which would complement the DDR2 RAM
changes in the new socket.

I will probably be going for an ASUS board as i will not be going daft trying
to overclock at first just looking to get it working (will be my 1st build).

Looking to be buying 2gb and have not really got a clue about timings etc.

Is there anything about that would suit me.

It is for the AM2 rig i will be buying for.

Will probably be buying next month but i dont know whats the best type of
Ram to get for it.

Just trying to get all the other components in so that in June its only the
mobo and cpu i will be buying.


Dont know that much about Ram so any help would be grateful.

At the moment I wouldn't be looking to buy at all tbh, its just come out that AM2 will support DDR2 800 which is pretty impressive, so I'd hang on to see what new DDR2 will be coming out around the time AM2 is ready.
