i have a mate who will buy 6800gt off me.

I am reasonably content with current rig so do i

a\sell it get new pci s939 M/b 7800gt or x1800xt

or

sit it out get skt m2 chip+m/b + 7800GT ( not x1800gt cos of cost)


what u think, I'm not rich by any stretch of imagination ! its my bonus so spend carefully !

If you think you will be able to wait out ide wait out, as then you will be more able for better future upgrades with the M2. and im asuming your 6800 on your rig isnt really having trubles with games at the moment. So personally I would wait. Comes down to your personal choice at the end of the day.

no its ok, just about manages Bf2 1680x1050 all up- i get 45fps dont drop much below 40 even in big FF.

In that case I dont see a need to upgrade yet, as it is still playable?.
When the M2 is out, that is when you will be glad you waited, as most people will go from 939 to m2 anyways.
