Has anyone got this ? I wear glasses and contacts but only wear contacts when I go out on the lash because any other time I wear them my eyes get dry and they irritate me. When drinking I don't notice it, even though drink dehydrates etc.!

Anyway I saw this advertised and tehn thought "wahey just waht I need!"...

So I went skipping merrily along to Boots and then saw the price, £15!!

Other places are selling it for a tenner but I'm wondering if it is worth it. Anyone used this?

:eek:Dell make eyespray?

:D:D:D

I'm going to try some of this, as I suffer badly from dry/itchy eyes. And, I have to get SWMBO to put eye drops in as I simply cannot bear the idea of dropping something into my eyes.

Should get to the chemists tomorrow, so I'll let you know.

I picked up some of this in the supermarket today. They had it on offer for 9quid. I've been meaning to try it for ages but the price put me off.

It's actually pretty good and if you find drops a pain it's certainly much nicer.

If you are on about the Optrex Actimist spray then it's a total rip-off.

Contents are :

1 ml spray contains 10mg Soy Lecithin, 8mg Sodium Chloride, 8mg Ethanol, 5mg Phenoxyethanol, 0.25mg Vitamin A Palmitate, 0.02mg Vitamin E, Purified Water

You could quite easily make a litre of that for about £1 - fill a spray bottle full of it and have a years supply for about 30p. The only thing that is actually doing anything to your eye is the soy Lecithin (available in massive bottles in Health food shops) - and even then it's just a lubricant making you blink more easily.

You can get other bottles of contact lens solution for a not very much if you go for e.g. supermarket brands. They're just moisturising drops which will do the same thing!

You should consider changing your contact lenses to ones with a higher water content. It will make wearing them more comfortable and save you money in the long run I expect.

I agree with panthro. I used to get slightly itchy eyes with my old lenses but now I've changed provider I rarely have problems (only time they irritate me is in the shower). If you don't/can't change your lenses then I'd agree with lizard, just get some normal lens solution. Sorry if that doesn't answer the OP entirely, just trying to save you some money :)

I've recently had laser eye surgery so I still get dry tired eyes some days. I found these ease that a lot more than other drops do. Granted I've not tried many other of the drops though.

I never trust things like this. I'd be wary of any potential damage and just prefer to suffer.

I recomend Blink eye drops , those are what i have been using for my dry eyes after laser eye surgery
