About 3 months a go i bought a "Titan Nero" AMD Athlon II X2 Dual Core 245 2.90GHz DDR2 System from overclockers and for some reason my screen just keeps blanking out.
i'll turn it on and it'll just turn off. Ive had it for a year and it was working with the pc before but for the last month its just been turning itself off.
when i push the D-Sub VGA cable in hard enough it'll turn on but then when i let go it'll turn off again. I bought a new VGA cable and it still does this, so its not a dodgy cable.
Ive always been making the monitor work through a black plug that looks like a larger version of the end of the VGA cable plugging that into one of the empy ports at the bottom of the pc then plugging the VGA into this black plug, and then connecting the VGA to the monitor, its always worked but now it doesnt.
i tried to make it work through the port at the back of the pc (where theres a little picture of a monitor on it) without the black plug just the VGA directly from the PC to the monitor and it says disconnected.
i dont know whether its the pc or the monitor so im dubious about getting another monitor.
help please
