optx neon 9inch tube

i wanna get one or 2 of these tubes to stick on my case, do i have to get one of these PC NEON Connector Kit so i can use it? these must power from usb i suppose?

if so how long is the usb cable? thanx

I have a load of these really really good.

The neon is connected to an adapter thing which is then connected to the PC NEON Connector kit. There are two wires which go form the neons adapter and go under plates in the connecter kit which screw down.

The connector kit can supposrt 4 neons and is powered by a molex connector. You just put the wires in it, tighten up the scews, plug in the molex connector, switch on the power, flick the litlle switch and then they come one.

could these be used outside the case aswel? like behind the monitor which is roughly 3 n a half ft away

i thought maybe it would give a warm back light like them new flat screens you can get

Yeah they can.

The cables for them are pretty long.
