Opty 185 overclock help

I have got 3 ghz 250x12(std is 13) @1.504 vcore (underload) idel vcore 1.52

Orthis stable for 1 hour 30 odd mins (yes I know thats not long enough to say stable)

Temps under load top 1 core hits 61 the other about 58.

Am I safe to run at that vcore.

I will be trying some new Arctic Cooling MX-2 Thermal Compound later next week to see if the temps drop at all.

The main question is, is it safe to use that higher vcore on an opty 185 (what should it be at stock)

If your temps are 61c-58c after 1 hour 30 mins, then i would say that is too high. You should be looking for Orthos temps under 50c. When you start going over 50c loaded you will find one or both cores will start to become unstable and probably won't make it to 8hrs.

i used to run upto 80c due to crap ihs!

if its stable (enough) why worry?

well I have a titan armarda coming, and getting some better thermal paste.

So this all should drop the temps.

If not then the IHS is coming off.
