Hi all,

Just upgraded my X2 4400 to an opty 185. However when i run a bench mark program or a game etc after a few minutes or so the computer shut down!

I have reset my default bios settings, i have also tried changing other settings and also the vcore volts but nothing seems to stop it from crashing!

I have also checked the temps to ensure that its not over heating and all seem ok.

Its fitted to a system in signature.

Any ideas please! :(

possibly a poorly seated heatsink/fan or waterblock maybe ??

EDIT : I see you are on water , recheck your temps and check that block :)

EDIT : Godamn I need to learn to read properly , you have checked your temps , hmmm , you've checked temps whilst loading the cpu running say orthos ?

My psu shouldnt be a prob i bought a decent one! think its an antec 550w Neo HE! At the moment im using a mates comp as i dont have internet at the moment! long story!

The vcore is reading at 1.35v however i have upped it to 1.3625 and 1 notch higher! still does it. I will try going up a little higher.

It cant be the temps! i cant get the cpu higher than 45c or the graphics higher than 40c

I ran Orthos and no probs. Temps are fine. Also upping the volts dont seem to make any difference! i also upped the volts on all items but to no avail.

For some reason im starting to think it may be a graphics problem! as it only seems to shut down when there are graphics involved! However it seems abit of a coincidence! as i didnt even touch the graphics card! and the temp are also fine.

p.s My bios is 1009 which seems to be the latest. and my m/b drivers are 6.65.

I have reset all bios settings to default,
