Oracle noob

Hi,

Have just installed oracle on my machine. During install i created a db with a password. I'm trying to log into this db now via the console, but am unsure what my user name is? Any ideas as i have tried my windows login name.

Have just managed to log into the built in scott/tiger account, but not the one i created during install

At the end of the install did you click the button that lets you change the passwords for the default usernames? I usually (if testing) just logon with SYSTEM as the username and then whatever I set the password to. You can go somewhere to alter the passwords and stuff again, but I forget where off the top of my head.

Where are you trying to log in? Via SQL*Plus or on the Enterprise Manager webpage?
