Orange Box - 360 or PC?

Joypads have always been easier, wheels are more fun.
I was simply demonstrating how it's a fallacy to say that console gaming is 100% fair by comparing it to how people can use different mice etc. in PC gaming. Not only does the Xbox suffer from the same ping/latency issues as the PC online, you can also buy different controllers for it too. :)

100% fair does not exist, it's a fallacy.

Heh, really who gives a damn about gamerscore. It's meaningless really.
I have to agree, my gamerscore is pretty pathetic but I can't seem to care. The only achievements I get are the ones that look fun to try, or the ones that just seem to unlock by themselves without any effort. :)

The only stat I really care about is reputation, but I don't play online enough for it to change. :(

ulfhedjinn. To be honest, despite why I think are perfectly sensible, rational and reasonable arguments for the 360, to be honest I see a lot of your responses as nothing more than deflections. It seems as if your mind is made up on the PC version and no amount of discussion would show you another side of the coin.

Am I right?

Ugh I feel dirty. I just ordered it for PC. This way its cheaper, plus I have a 5% discount code with the retailer and 11% Quidco rebate means more money for next month's 360 games extravaganza.

I bet my 360 3RLODs again in disgust.

I think I've made it clear already that my mind is completely made up on the PC version and that I think the only reason to buy the Xbox 360 version is if you don't have a PC or if you're addicted to increasing your gamerscore.

That said, if I do see a very good argument in defense of the Xbox 360 version I will aknowledge it, and if the argument happens to be astonishing then I'll even recommend the 360 version over the PC version.

I just don't see that happening though, there's no arguments coming from the 360 side in defense of that version of the game. Your post also seems like you're out of arguments so are falling back on pointing out my bias, which I've not tried to hide, but if that's not the intention of your post then I apologise. :)

I'll be getting it for the 360, mainly because I rarely use my PC anymore and prefer the comfort of my lounge to play games these days.

And no I can't hook my PC up to the TV, it's big old noisy full tower and my TV is an old SDTV so can't accept the inputs

That's not the PCs fault though as mine is a full tower (Eclipse 62!) and much quieter than my 360. :)

Your PC is only as loud as you make it and it can cost as little as £10 to silence it.

Careful now!!! That £15 saving has just gone down to a fiver!!! :p

Well you see both the PC and the 360 are connected into the same TV (26" HDTV) and sound system so the only thing to compare are the controls, graphical quality and of course how it plays.

I watched a side by side comparison vid and I couldn't see much difference except the 360 version looked washed out, though I wasn't sure if that was just a problem local to their TV.

Controls and how well it would run on my PC I think would be the deciding factor. MP TF2 limits don't concern me that much as I'm not really into PC MP gaming much now since enjoying Xbox live.

(P4 3.2Hhz, 2GB RAM, 7800GT if anyone has any idea how it would run).

Your PC will run it fine mate, my PC is an AMD Athlon 64 4000+, 2GB RAM, X1900 XT 512MB and its fantastic.

If your PC runs CS:S well then it should be fine on TF2 too.
