Orange box 360 or PC?

i don't know the specific differences of each version but i personally think its wrong to play half life on anything other than a pc.. mouse & keyboard is enough reason for me to choose pc version.

unless maybe if your pc is crap, like mine is :p

lol, as this is the console section everyone should say 360 version! Post the same question in the PC section and everyone will say PC

I'd played on the PC back in the day but picked up the Orange Box for the 360. (For Ep1, Ep2 and Portal) and thoroughly enjoyed it all again.

I'm now just as happy with the 360 controller so this wasn't an issue and it looks good, plays very smoothly and the achievements were fun and nice additional challenges.

Either way you can't go wrong.

I had the Orange Box on Xbox 360 and i really enjoyed it. I have played all the previous Half Lifes on pc and thought they were excellent. Only reason i did not get the orange box on pc was because i didnt think it would be powerful enough to run it. Took me a while to get used to the controller instead of mouse and keyboard, but it doesnt take long.

I had the PC version of HL2 for a few years but never got round to completing it - always gave up half way through.

Completed the 360 version of HL2 + ep1 within a few months of getting it (one of the few games I bothered completing last year)

Regardless of control method or graphics I'd recommend the 360 version for this reason alone.

(I suspect it was to do with playing it on a bigger screen / 5.1 sound / lying on the couch while playing etc)

i have both

if you have a half decent pc then the pc is the way to go

also team fortress 2 has a massive community on pc so wou will get more moneys worth

plus the pc version is cheaper if you buy the retail box than off steam

i got mine for £17 - email if you want a link

Ask this in consoles, the answer is 360.
Ask this in PCs, the answer is PC.

Which do you prefer, First Person gameplay with a gamepad? Or First Person gameplay on a keyboard and mouse?

Do you have a pretty decent PC that would do the game justice is also another good question?

I don't think there's any differences between the two, it's all personal preference

If your getting it for Single Player then it doens't matter, get which ever control method you prefer (though apparently HL2's graphics have been updated for the console version of the Orange Box?)
If your getting it for Multiplayer get it on PC as it's the only version which is regularily updated.

Had Orange Box on both PC and Xbox 360, PC still looks much better because of the higher res.

Get it for the PC:

cheaper
Better Graphics
More accurate controls
Mods
Far better community
more players
TF2 has more features
Far less lag
