Orange Box, TF2 problems?

I just installed the full orange box onto my machine went to run TF2 and all that happens is the screen starts flickering as if its trying to change res.
I also get what sounds like the start of the music but its just one or two notes.

I have to alt-tab to another program then use taskmanager to close it
Anyone had similar problems?
Any one know how to fix?

Update your drivers to 163.75 beta from nvidia

Sounds like nVidia drivers, I was running some old drivers on my 7800 GT and I had some issues with TF2, it runs fine now with evertyhing on max at 1280x1024.

was drivers but the ati ones, told me to update to start with, but did i listen noooo!

Mine too, but C&C keeps crashing and then give BSODs
