well there's half life done quick - a speed run video. i guess you could follow the story by watching it.

You know, the motion sickness thing is to do with the low field of view (FOV) the HL2 games use. Instead of just giving up on the game, you could try increasing the fov first?

Load the game up as normal, find the advanced option settings, and enable the developer console. Then bring it up by pressing the button above TAB, and first type "sv_cheats 1", then "default_fov 90", and then "fov 90". The default is 75, so if 90 doesn't work, try having a tinker.

As mentioned its the Fov thats messed up and causes some people to feel sick, change the settings. Then you should be able to play it, you wont be disappointed

Well I guess someone could record themselves playing it as a *.dem file but that would take a while and possibly a fairly big file.

Why don't you just sit further back, even better if you have an LCD tv. You could use a controller or a wireless mouse and keyboard?

In a nut shell, the brain gets confused in between reality and the virtual-world which leads to sending mixed messages to the body. A bit like sea-sickness if you like.

I had a big problem with motion sickness when I started hl2, so I left it for approx 3 years and then I saw the fov fix and I completed the epic saga non-stop :cool:
