Orange broadband users

Firstly, I understand your pain, but moving on...

Have any of you managed to set it up so you can use your own router for the internet and also somehow have the orange box plugged in for your free/cheaper phone calls?

How about SMTP e-mail? As far as I can tell there's no way around this which is an absolute joke.

(For those who don't know what I mean, you can use any SMTP server other than Orange's to send e-mail, you have to use web-mail, w******!).
 
When I was with Wanadoo (later taken over by Orange), back in the days before I had sense ;)... I had my livebox set up for VOIP, yes. It was easy to do and the call quality wasn't bad at all (to Australia). That was on 2 meg.

Back in the day you could only use Orange's SMTP - I dunno about this having to use webmail stuff?
