Orange cancellation deals

Just rang to Cancel my Orange contract and as usual got offered the regular range of 'please stay offers'.

The best they could offer was £15 a month 18 month contract with a Nokia 6500 Classic. Am I likely to be offered anything better than that? I don't particularly want another 18 month contract - I don't even use Orange anymore as I've got an N95 8Gb on Vodafone.

So, whats the best offer I'm likely to get? If I can get myself a decent second phone on the £15 a month deal I'll stay with them otherwise I may as well just bin it.
 
Been with them for 4 years + and when I called to cancel the other week they said "OK" and put it through without saying a word......lol
 
i've just been offered a deal with three for £10 a month 18 month contract with the 6500slide.

try telling them you have been offered that by three. see if they will match it?
 
You can get the same as they have offered on T-Mobile anyway so it doesn't seem very good (depending on how many texts/minutes etc.).

If you take out a 24 month contract with o2 you can get 75 mins, 250 texts, k850i, £100 cashback (through quidco) for £15. The only downside is the really long contract.

Am I being dumb or is that the worst contract ever?

75mins a month and tied for 2 years?
 
Cheap though and you get a decent phone, for people who have it as a backup or simply don't use it much it's perfect.
 
I recently called up 02 to cancel and ended up with 400 x-net minutes and 1000 texts for £15 a month ... so not bad all in all - was paying near double that for far far less before :/
 
Someone I live with has 500mins/500text for £15/month with Vodafone.

I managed to get Tmobile Flext 35 + Blackberry service for £30 a month, nearly up so Im moving to O2 Simplicity


Best to get deals in store rather than internet/phone call!
 
i got the dolphin 35 on orange, u get 600 mins and unlimited txt for £21.50 ( normally £35)
just say u got a better deal else where and they might do u a deal
although 18 months contracs are a head-ache

Yeah, im paying about £41 after VAT, am i likely to get a similar deal to the above? I get 500 mins instead of 600 too.

Wanting some internet access though..
 
i just got offered a free tytn 2 12 months contract with 350 minutes 150 texts some orange to orange stuff for £25 a month. have given me 2 months free data to see if i use it enough but after that it will be an extra 7.50 per month
was happy enough to get the phone free on 12 months

What sort of data they given you?

You know what the pricing is for data and is there any unlimited (or a decent amount) by any chance?

They said unlimited and i said ok whats the limit they said 250mb, i said not very unlimited, so they give me it free for 2 months to see how i get on :)

What you recon the chance of them doing that to my Orange Deal? Paying £40ish a month atm with a D900.

Wanting as much data as possible, if not a similar deal to you to see what happens.

Before i got offered my deal i was on a 18 month contract at £30 a month, did not go over my limit very often, so i did not expect to get as good of a deal as i did. So your best bet is just to call them and find out (if i had taken the 18 month contact i would have got the data for free and a lot more mintues and txts, but i just wanted a 12 month deal)

What phone did you get with that deal? I phoned up to cancel and they gave me 400 mins 1000 txt messages and unlimtied o2 to o2 calls for 30 pounds a month on 18 month contract with a n95 8gb... as they matched the deal being done at the carphone warehouse to the nearest traiff that was slightly better, feel a bit hard done now but I just think of all them people on £50 pounds contracts for 18 months to get a n95 black.
