Orange contract query.

I'm on an Orange contract which ran out just over a month ago. Can I change to a lower tariff without it being a new contract? Reason being is that I'll only need the contract for another couple of months.

If you are totally out of contract with Orange you should have absolutely no hassle dropping the tariff.
The only issue you'd have is if you were looking for a new phone at the same time as you would then be expected to sign up for another 12 month contract.
However a simple drop in tariff will commit you to nothing.

As stoofa said, no problem at all to change to a lower standard talkplan. There are some plans, however, that will tie you in for another year, so avoid special offers (free weekend calls, discount line rental, direct plans) and you should be fine
