Hi

Just finished my contract with Orange (5th May it gets disconnected).

Just wondering how orange go about refunding the extra money you pay, as you pay a month in advance.

I get my bill with orange on the 3rd of every month and thus got one on the 3rd of this month which pays for 3rd March - 2nd June. However i have only got 2 days use of the tariff and am still paying £35.

Do i get back the money ive paid for 6th may - 2nd june on a pro-rata basis? (i.e. (£35 / 31) x 28)

Jim :)

With all the contracts i've had, you normally give your notice one month before your contract ends, and on the final billing date, you just get charged for calls, as the line rental is paid in advance.

It'll be after the next bill date. The final bill will be generated on the 3rd, it would consist of pro-rata credits for line rental, but also any call or text charges that would be appropriate (especially given that the call/text allowance will be pro-rata'd too).

Normally the refund would come after that once the final balance has been established, normally between 2 and 4 weeks later.
