Orange Dots On Plasma TV

Recently some orange dots have started appearing on my Panasonic plasma when it is in standby. They show up in two distinct locations and remain on screen once the TV is switched on for about five to ten minutes then they disappear.

They don't appear all the time and it's not screenburn but I'm a bit concerned that my TV is on the way out.

Has anyone else experienced similar or know what's causing it?

that's weird and it doesnt sound good. any photos? Does the tv feel warm to the touch in those areas?

lazy pixels? don't understand why they would be on when the tv is off though. sounds more serious an issue with a board in the tv.

how old is the tv and did you buy from a retailer that gives 5-6 year warranty as standard?

Still got some warranty left with John Lewis.

I'm torn between hoping it's a fault so I can justify a new TV and hoping it's fine cause it's the best TV I've every owned.

I'll try and get a couple of pics next time it happens.

Plasma is dead. I would push for an OLED as a replacement if you be firm with them about the whole black levels, etc. They might let you upgrade to an OLED for very little like £200.
