Orange (EE) to O2 text message SNAFU, anyone else got issues ?

Howdy,
Currently having issues with sending text message from my orrange phone
to some friends on O2 , specifically when I send a text message
the person on O2 receives the message .. then a minute later .. same message again ... and again another 20 minutes later.

Is anyone else having any issues like this ?

Seems to be happening with Giffgaff too.

Myself and the girlfriend are both on EE, her texts are being sent multiple times to me.

I'm on Tmobile, gf is on Giffgaff and we're having no problems.

Didn't effect me whatsoever, nor anyone in my area. Maybe its a locaslied issue?

It's been an issue for ~ 8-10 years between Orange and O2, I don't see it being fixed any time soon until they move away from their current sms tech.
