Can anyone sort out the confusion for me?

If you go for the 18 month contract you can get one nominated Orange number as a magic number. Calls to that number are either free, or charged at the rate of 1 min for each hour, depending on which page of Orange or CWH or P4U you are looking at. Which is it?

Also will they take this minute out of your call allowance or is that on top?

Your 'Magic Numbers' can only be Orange mobile numbers.

You can make a call for up to an hour, and you'll be charged for 1 minute. This comes off your free mins.

e.g. I make a 40min call, get charged for 1 min. I make a 65 min call, I get charged for 6 mins (If you ever did manage to make a 1hr call, you're better off hanging up!)

You are allowed a further Magic Number every 6 months to a total of 5.

I'd stick to reading the Orange pages for info on this - others aren't forced to have it right.

Thanks for the info.

It says on the calling plan page on orange's website 'unlimited free calls to your Magic Number' and doesn't mention in the Ts&Cs anything about charging for the first min, though another page mentions that they do. Best thing I think is to actually go in and ask them!

Well I can tell you it does charge you the first minute - I use it, and I have the bills to prove it(!)

Ohh. Always love that.

Absoluletely free and unlimited, *cough*, oh fair use applies :D

Reading the terms and conditions it fair enough. If you need to spend more than 3 hours a day on the mobile then something is wrong with you :D
