Hi, was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I've just bought a used AM4 motherboard from eBay and noticed the the two metal contacts on the back of the cpu socket (back of motherboard) have an orangey tint to them (see pic).

Is this normal or are they burn marks? Just want to be sure before installing it. Thanks

Thanks a lot guys.

Thanks for finding that video for me Tetras, it was really helpful. The PC is all up and running now. Time to download some games on it and test it out. :D

That looks like solder flux which could mean the board has had a repair and that part soldered by hand .
I also messaged some people on eBay that were selling this exact board and they all checked for me and said that theirs has this discolouration too. It must be normal.
