Hey

I have been after broadband from [Internet connection dropped] www.bethere.co.uk for a while now but I am still under contract with Orange (5/6 months left) recently I have found the connection has been dropping a lot (every 5mins) this has been going on for a while now and the other day it was down for a whole day which drove me insane... never the less I phoned them up and they said they were upgrading my internet speed, so i thought fair enough... I tired it the next day and it worked fine again - but still no faster.

[internet connection dropped again]

I was after faster internet anyway... so if there is some way I can get out of this contract and get some 24meg.. that would be brilliant :D

Thanks.

OK, firstly the odds of you getting 24mbit unless you can take a leak on top of the exchange from your house are slim, check samknows for a guestimate of how close you are as this will dictate what sorts of speed you get. If you've got a livebox they are evil, get something better.

Basically you must follow Orange (or whoever's) internal complaints process first and allow them a reasonable time to deal with and resolve your complaint - if it requires investigation etc this can take a while, it's only after you have done so and the issue has not been resolved that you will be able to use the regulator's system but be warned it's not the quickest solution.
