Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that helped me with my questions for the past week, just ordered the last few parts for my build and hopefully I can start building it tomorrow night

Heres the list, its by no means high end but as long as it plays the latest games at 1680x1050 mostly high settings its all good

Antec 902 case
Seasonic X750 PSU
AMD Phenom 965
Gigabyte 870-UD3
G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1333 CAS8
Samsung Spinpoint F3 500
Sony SATA DVD drive
Logitech G11 & G5

I just need some blue SATA cables now, cant seem to find any

Thanks again

Nice one mate :) what gpu are you using? Also ocuk do some nice akasa blue dayglo sata cables. I've got a couple in my system.

Oh sorry should have said, I am going to use my old XFX 8800 GTS 640MB until Autumn as I am skint now! Then i'll be getting my first Radeon after years of owning Nvidia cards

Thanks, I wasnt sure about pics because not many people seem to do that on here like on car forums where you get build threads etc, i'll take some pics then I should hopefully be building it up over the next few days

I have a few spare Blue SATA cables spare if you want them for a few quid, drop me an e-mail, address in sig and trust.

Thanks for the offer but i've managed to find some

It seems that some of the newer batches of the Samsung F3 have an issue with the SB850 southbridge which has been recently discovered.

Samsung has released a firmware update for affected drives:

Many thanks for this I really appreciate it, burning the update now

Ok people i'll take as many pics as I can although my phone aint great

PC's built

Getting 37C idle, I take it thats normal?

I need to mess about with CAS timings as its not applied the best timings for the memory

It was a pretty straight forward build, only minor complaints were in regards to the cable tidy system, not enough room in the cavity IMO, plus, why the hell is the HDD activity LED, power and reset cables so short! The HDD activity LED is so much shorter than the other two too, found that very strange. And the case fans have to be used directly with the PSU, they cannot be added to the mobo

Other than those minor complaints i'm happy so far, lots of tweaking and messing about tonight, oh I took lots of pics too, i'll get them up when i'm happy thats its set up correctly
