I've order a graphics card from overclockers on Monday around 3/4pm and on the tracking website it says

15:14 Tuesday, February 21, 2006 On route to delivery branch
06:01 Wednesday, February 22, 2006 Arrived at Delivery Branch
07:55 Wednesday, February 22, 2006 Goods loaded onto a van
16:01 Wednesday, February 22, 2006 Delivery point closed (Carded)

I haven't received a card from them yet and I've been in the house all day. It's Thursday now and I'm still waiting on my graphics card!

What's going on? Does it usually take this long? I was expecting the card on Tuesday having heard it's a quick service.

Not usually supposed to talk about shop matters on here and in any event, this is a courier thing, not even the shop. I suggest you contact/moan down the phone at them and demand a prompt delivery. I believe they tried to deliver yeaterday (carded) and you need to get in contact with them.

ask them the colour of your front door they make a note of it

they said our was red once it is white , they soon popped the del round

I had exactly the same thing happen to me on a friday, carded at 4.45 pm, when i was in the house and nobody came lol,

So i rang em up two mins later and said wrong house, Was told i could either come and collect it from the depot 40 miles away :O

Or it would be delivered on monday

I asked for next day carriage so i ended up getting it on a Saturday morning :D

i had about £600 worth of stuff that didnt turn up at my house and i sat in all day i phoned the delivery company who had told me that the stuff was signed for and i explained that it didnt and was goin to have to provide my signatures untill the driver said he left the stuff at my front door and signed my name.i guess somebody got a good free parcel of stuff when they pinched it from my door .i got it sorted after a few phone calls but it was stressfull trying to explain that i hadnt signed for anything.ockers were really good about it and shipped my parts out again really quick.
id advise you to ring the delivery company and see what has happened

Same thing happened to me last time I ordered. I was out during the day and so knew I would have to collect the stuff from the depo the next day so I looked for a card, and there wasn't one (Even looked in my back garden :p ). But on the tracker it said that a card had been left when it happened. So I ended up phoing the Delivery company the next morning who insisted a card was left (which clearly one hadn't been  ) but were helpful after that and said I could pick it up anytime during the day :)

Wish OCUK would use someone else other than Citylink as there service IMO is poor a lot of the time. Few years ago waited in allday for something I really needed ASAP (CDRW + blank discs) to backup failing HD. Citylink claimed to have delivered the item. I was in allday no-one even knocked. Had to go 3 miles to the nearest depot to collect (now their nearest depot has moved to near Heathrow Airport for West London customers).

Another time waited in allday and got the parcel the next morning instead.

Told OCUK about this @ the time and gave full details etc etc.

I'm gonna have to collect it from the depo which is only 5 minutes away. Have to bring ID with me.

I'm shocked to hear about that story with the driver signing for you and just leaving it out in the front of the wrong house!

(the west london depot near heathrow is the one I live very close to so I'm quite lucky in a way)

They all screw up at some point, Had an issue with UPS 2 weeks ago, sitting here twiddling my thumbs all day so checked their website and it said Failed Delivery!
Failed to attempt it more like or at least failed to the find the address even with SatNav ffs.
Got it early the next day though.

I ordered a card from weekly mag over the phone about 5 years ago and when i got it,it was broken so send it back and asked for my money back and never thought about it much more ( cannot remeber if i got any papper work back or not),so 2 weeks later my statment came through the post and they taken out the money for card and not payed me back so i rang them up and they said they sent it 2 weeks ago and they get in touch with carrier, well it turned up 3 days later HAHA after almost a month since i placed the order over the phone
I wasnot happy rang up creditcard company and was told a company has 60 days to get a item to you, i didnot know about distance buying act or what ever it called and not sure if it was about then.

Woo hoo I've got my graphics card from the depot. All is well.

BTW OCuk did a great job in sending out the card early. I do not fault them one bit.

(It's the delivery company who isn't so good)

Have a big :D on my face.

Initial city are *****DELETED*****. I orded a dell 24" monitor and they let some one else sign for the monitor who didnt even answer the door  . Took me 5 months to get a chq back from them. They said i was lieing but a bloke called patel signed for it the parcel was in the name woodhouse. i allways go collect it from there dept now. Never send ote by them now.

Please direct all shop enquiries to OcUK directly via the webnote linked to in the second reply , shop queries are not delt with on the forums as stated in the FAQ.
